So yesterday in all it's fury Jessica and I moved into our apartment, well moving in is a bit of an understatement since neither of us stayed here last night. It all began on thursday when Jess went over to Nanaimo to aid in the bf's moving day experience as well, here's where the drama begins. First the truck, which had to be pick up in Campbell River (I curse you UHAUL) and then the inability to fit the couch into the truck (yep we are couchless, oh well). Anyways, Jess and Tim successfully moved Tim into his apartment in the Westend while my dearest parents came down to our pad. My father built a tv stand and mama clean (like a mad woman). I however......was at work (and a gong show that was). Think of it this way, it's a bank what days are going to be busy, the first of the month????yes. and the friday of a long weekend....yes, the were on the same day. Anyhoo, I got off work to see that Jess' was moved in to the apartment and a good portion of my things were already there, only thing left was the furniture which was moved in with great success (even the mamoth tv) and all is well. Most Ikea furniture is still not built and I am currently sitting at the desk which is the only usuable pieace of furniture right now. But I am happy with the end result yeah us.

There you are a moving experience almost made for TLC. P.S. I'm stealing internet access right now, hooray for unsecured wireless.

So what has my life included lately, well....nothing really I just feel as though I should be doing my part to entertain you. okay so here's the new thing in life that I am beginning to dread everyday....packing! I have absolutely no motivation whatsoever. Now, don't worry Jess, it's not that I don't want to move out with you because believe me I do, but it never seems to be the right night to pack those books (which I finally did tonight, yeah me). I have now found myself prone to going for absent minded drives at night to pick up coffee or tea in an attempt to avoid to obvious reality that is, "alison, you have 9 days to pack up your life, do it!!!!" but hey a girl has got to have her coffee. So to all of the motivated people out there, all I can say is good on ya oh chum. I wish I was you.

Okay so I am now on my fifth day at the World Peace Forum and things are slowly beginning to slow down. Registration is coming to a close since tomorrow is the last day and really whose going to register then. I still have not been able to attend many things but despite extreme sleep deprivation am having a fantastic time. Here's the weird part, I think I have develop a mild high school crush on one of the IT guys here (who by the way is most definately not the cutest one of the bunch). I'm blaming it on the lack of sleep since there is nothing about him that I am actually attracted to (minus his wit and accent: irish) Maybe i just really need to get laid. who knows. anyways back to reality. just thought that I would pop in for a chat.

In the news

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl.

Okay so here's a cute story, last week I went to the Caprice for a friend's birthday (I know I know the Caprice is not my kind of place). Anyways I pretty much got smashed and I was crouching down next to my Missy totally normal. Then I made the silly mistake of attempting to response to the person behind. Oh not good I fell on my ass like a doll. Feet straight out (including the Mary Jane shoes), big pleated skirt. I looked liked a doll!!!

I've come to realize something about elections...if you really care about having your party win in your riding there is one way to do it...ready???? ok here it is...move to a riding where people care. NO matter what the government is like the stupid North Vancouverites are going to vote for Don Bell because it's what they always do and hell they what THEIR tax breaks, who cares about the rest of the country. I need to move to the island or burnaby

So it seems as though I am the last one to make a comment on our trip to Victoria. Here goes; being Miranda for 24 hours was lovely I was able to be cute and sassy without fault. With drinks downed and food consumed the traditional evening of sexual fantansies and past stories were divulged. It seems to happen everytime that we all get together, we are overly liberated and a bit too comfortable talking about these details. Even better was the table of guys next to ours who were very interested in what we had to say and do especially when jess and I kissed, quickly followed by jess and Erika (lucky Jess but she asked for it) Anyways girls, you rock I think that we need to buy a house together and live as spinsters with a lot of "good" friends (just to keep up the stories).
P.S. Canucks beat Flames sweet!
